The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee/African & Caribbean Festival 2012

The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II is the international celebration throughout 2012 marking the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the thrones of seven countries upon the death of her father, King George VI, on 6 February 1952.

On Sunday 3rd June 2012 from 12noon to 4pm, African and Caribbean Community Association (ACCA) will be having a joint celebration with the Cheadle Heath Community Centre to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and celebrate its annual festival event at the Cheadle Heath Pavilion/Park, Essex Avenue, off Stockport Road, Stockport, SK3 0JA.

There will be loads of fun, games, BBQ,  eye brow threading, stalls, African drumming, head tie drapping workshop, music and taste of African and Caribean food.

ACCA would like to take this opportunity to invite you or a representative from your community group or organisation to take part in our 3rd Annual African and Caribbean Festival.

This event is about celebrating Africa and Caribbean diverse culture, its heritage, its achievements and successes.

It is a free family fun day event that encourages all Stockport residents from all backgrounds to celebrate and enjoy the cultural richness of the two continents. It is set to be a vibrant and energetic festival of art, music and free refreshments.

We would also like to invite organisations from the private, voluntary and statutory sector of Stockport, to promote the work that they do and inform BME communities/residents of resources that are available to them.

ACCA 2010 Black History Month Dance - ‘And The Beat Goes On’

 ACCA’s annual Black History Month event on Saturday 6th November 2010 at the Masonic Guildhall, 169 Wellington Road South (one minute walk from Stockport College).
It is a fundraising dance event and tickets are going on sale at £10 per person. No under 18.

Africa Day Festival

ACCA is hosting a 5-A-Side football game on Saturday 24th October 2009 at 11am.

Venue is Shaw Heath Park, Kimberly Street, Stockport SK3 8EB.

There will be The Pioneers Exhibition, other sports such as Sack Race, Egg and Spoon Race, etc.

Come along and join the fun which is open to the community and also Free-of Charge,

Prizes will be awarded to winning teams which will be divided into groups, from ages 7-100 years.
